Today, May 1st of 2018, i'm starting to build a Cafe Racer, a long term goal of mine, In this blog i'll explain all the research i'm doing to build my own Cafe Racer. According to experts first step to start building a cafe racer is to choose your base bike, if you are assembling one rather than building it from scratch. So i decided to do that first. I had few criteria to choose my base bike. 1. The base bike should be cheaper to get. 2. The engine and the chassis should be in good shape and the bike should be running. 3. The main spare parts of the bike should be easily available in the markets. After reading many articles and watching many videos on Youtube to build a cafe racer, i learned one important lesson, i.e to make less custom parts in the first project.
